Speaking to the press she was natural, articulate and did a very good job. She had her new mother on one side and the Senator on the other as she spoke - but I doubt many growns ups could have discussed the issue as well as she did.

It was cute seeing them exchanging hugs and smiling at the end - I think you are right that the Senator would do all he could to avoid dissapointing that girl. The girl and her mother live in Pittsburg and came to Massachusetts for the interview.
