6. NativeTexan, Katrina changed forever the way I see "extremes" now...
It was "extreme" to watch poor, overwhelmingly Black AMERICANS left to die of thirst on rooftops while flood waters rose around them or to suffer degredations none of us can even imagine in the Super Dome... hungry, thirsty, sick, dying while our government did nothing. NOTHING. For days. I will never forget it. And, no one who saw that and still thinks the corporate condition is more important than the human condition will ever get my vote again. If that's "extreme" then proudly I am an extremist to the nth degree. Anyone looking to "conserve" their own wealth and position and power while there are so many without anything deserves my derision and loathing. I don't care which Party he or she is from. Never again.
