referring to the opposition research he did against Brown

I realize this is the way politics is played, I don't think that Hackett had no right to play the "weak on defense" card against Brown, and I don't see Brown as a victim.

I simply think Hackett is wrong, terribly wrong in a huge and important way.

I sincerely believe the rhetoric about peacemakers like Bernie Sanders and Sherrod Brown and Dennis Kucinich being more able to keep the country safe. I sincerely believe that America is stronger if we protect civil liberties and attend to domestic issues like health care and jobs and education. I reject the ridiculing of ideas like Kucinich's Department of Peace.

I have urged the democratic party many times to embrace the Department of Peace, and I'm going to continue to do that as the dems prepare their version of the Contract With America heading toward the election this year. I believe I heard that Wesley Clark backs something similar to Dennis's DOP.

I think Ohio and America is ready for a candidate like Brown to stand up to Rove's phony scare tactics, and I'm glad the dems are backing Brown and rejecting the fear tactics that Hackett's campaign seems so afraid of.

That said, I still like Paul Hackett and don't regret my campaign donation to him against Schmidt. It's just a matter of disagreeing with his approach in this Senate campaign.
