AFL-CIO endorses Webb in Va. Senate race

VIENNA, Va. Virginia's largest labor organization has endorsed Democrat Jim Webb in his race against Republican Senator George Allen.
Today's announcement by the Webb campaign is no surprise, since the A-F-L-C-I-O usually backs Democrats.

Jim Leaman, the organization's president, says that Webb ... quote ... "will be a strong voice in the United States Senate for the workers of Virginia."
