23. Dude was kicked out of the Libertarian Party, too, and is a racist
"In or around January 2002, Larry Darby approached Libertarian Party members expressing interest in seeking the party's nomination for the position. Within two months of beginning discussions with members of the LPA, Mr. Darby's name was withdrawn from the nomination ballot and his party membership resigned, largely due to perceived ideological disagreements with the Libertarian Party platform."

In a 2006 interview with The Associated Press, Darby said he believes that no more than 140,000 Jewish people died in the Holocaust, and that most of them succumbed to typhus. He said: "I am what the propagandists call a Holocaust denier, but I do not deny mass deaths that included some Jews" and "There was no systematic extermination of Jews. There's no evidence of that at all." <4> Darby says that illegal immigrants should be treated like prisoners of war.

On May 13, 2006, Darby presented a speech at a meeting of National Vanguard, which bills itself as an advocate for the white race.

"A candidate for Alabama Attorney General attended a closed door meeting of white supremacists organized by the virulently anti-Semitic and racist National Vanguard, where he had been invited to speak about his views, according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL)."

Lots more of that on the web.

Keefer, if you are legitimately here, you have no reason to be defensive. People just disagree with your post. That's what DU is about--free debate. But you seem to have changed your story, saying first that the Dems crewed this man, now saying you really meant the Dems shouldn't have allowed him in in the first place. That's clearly not what you originally posted. If you just jumped the gun on this one, admit it, say you've changed your mind, and enjoy a long and happy DU posting career. But with the anti-Dem title of your post, and your squirming to change your story downthread, you are coming across as a troll--fair or not. That's why you're catching flack. Just be honest either way--Democrats value honesty, unlike the Republicans.
