DeLay casts TV ballot
Former majority leader now urging Republicans to vote for 'Dancing' contestant.

Tom DeLay once twisted arms for votes in Congress.

Now the former U.S. House majority leader is rounding up votes for a contestant on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

That's right. DeLay has e-mailed his supporters urging them to vote weekly for Sara Evans, a country singer who performed at the 2004 Republican National Convention, because she "represents good, American values."

"One of her opponents on the show is ultra liberal talk show host Jerry Springer," DeLay wrote. "We need to send a message to Hollywood and the media that smut has no place on television by supporting good people like Sara Evans."
