7. Well, yeah, sure, of course. I dozed off this evening
before gametime, but checked DU when I woke up -- as I remembered the Clemson/VT (college football) game was on ESPN. I already knew the baseball game in St. Louis would be washed out since I'd been keeping track of the weather there.

And ya know, if you mention sports in an OP, you're likely to get sports fans clicking on it and then commenting about the sports!

I'm a sports fan, obviously ... BUT I happen to be more interested in what the OP alerted us to! Nice part is, I can catch the rerun of LK later tonight, not missing any of that, while going ahead and watching the football game right now.

(In case anyone's interested, VT leads the game at the two minute mark going into halftime, but after getting the ball on a fumble recovery, Clemson was stopped by the VT defense with no score and that 10-7 lead will probably be the halftime score.)

I try not to miss any good political pieces even for a really good ballgame, but the best thing is we can usually see BOTH without much effort. :)

So THANKS for the headsup about LK -- that Rush bit is surely gonna hurt the Repukes, hopefully bigtime! I don't know if I can bear to watch that moran mocking Michael J. Fox, but I want to see just how repulsive and obnoxious he is doing this. No real surprise that he'd do something so revolting as mocking a genuine, admirable young man as MJF, but I'll bet this little stunt will bring the Repukes some indigestion ... something they mightily deserve!

The thing is, if the limp one were a Dem backer and still behaved the way he does (but for our side), I would disown him in a heartbeat. The R's apparently have no such compunction about supporting him no matter what sort of horrible crap he spouts as long as he backs them! Goes to show ya how black their hearts really are, doesn't it?....

So I say GO TIGERS! But far more importantly, GO DEMS and those supporting them!! And THANKS, LK, for giving that Rush "offensive" more exposure than he would have received otherwise.

Halftime now, and I see John Walsh is on LK, clearly wanting to back the R's from what I'm hearing right now. No surprise there, either, but he's finding it difficult to make the R's look good at all (little wonder) -- especially on the issue of child abuse and molestation which is his focus!

Hah!

Give it up, John. You're probably a good guy at heart, and we know you suffered a terrible loss and have done some good work on behalf of missing and exploited children. Maybe ya oughtta stick to THAT endeavor instead of trying to explain repulsive Repuke behavior in any sort of positive light!

GO DEMS! You're fighting the good fight, and I think that becomes more apparent to almost everyone as every day passes now.

(And I have no doubt it's a far more important one than any sports team's struggle. I think MOST of us fans know that and don't get confused on the point. :))
