I had yesterday off, and saw that Edwards was going to speak. My wife and I are always up for these type of things, so we decided to drop in and see what's what.

He spoke at the local ILWU hall, and had a very good turnout for an out of the way union hall on a rainy work day. The Edwards staff had it surprisingly well organized (IMO), and there was plenty of media there.
I'm not officially wed to any candidate. I thinks it's kind of early for that, and I'm still holding out to see what Gore does. But, I was impressed. Watching him dispassionately, I think he's a gifted speaker. He's just specific enough to suggest that there's some substance to him. But he never sounds to wonky. He comes across as passionate, w/o sounding sanctimonious or preachy.
Anyway, my wife and I were impressed. Like I said, I'm not sold on anyone yet. But I'd be very comfortable with Edwards.
