Why people put stock in polls a year out is beyond me? It's like we never remember anything from election to election..



Obama's own troops acknowledged they are playing catch-up with Clinton. Lou Susman, a senior Obama adviser who also was the finance chairman for Sen. John Kerry in his 2004 presidential bid, said it's too early to put much stock in polling.

"She's got 100 percent name recognition. He certainly doesn't have anywhere close to that yet," Susman told the Post-Dispatch. "But whenever people see him, they see something new. Nobody motivates the crowd like Obama."


Personally, I'd love it if we didn't start posting polling information until maybe 90 days out.. Or maybe a month out.. or even a week..
