I just got done watching both of their rallies. I still think Hillary overall would make the better President. But after watching Obama's speech, I felt excited. I don't know what it is. I just think we've had 7 years of sheer hell. Politics has been so stressful, so exhausting, so disheartening. But he really is a bit fresh; isn't he. He has this amazing ability to get his message across and I'm starting to believe he can totally cross party lines and pull people in. He has the energy and voice that a campaign needs in my opinion. He just has amazing delivery. His message actually reminds me so much of John Kerry's, who I happen to love, but the way Obama puts it forth just blows John out of the water. He actually MAKES you listen to him, and you just CAN'T turn away almost. It's almost impossible to sit there and listen to him and NOT like him. That's my perception of it anyway. Then, after his speech, they cut to McCain. Talk about world's apart! It hit me right then and there: Obama will run RAMPANT over McCain in the General Election. I can't possibly see McCain being able to do a DAMN THING to knock down Obama's likeability or momentum. He just can't possibly match the energy and inspiration, and I think will handily get hammered.

I think Hillary is great too. I find her more experienced, knowledgeable and all around better qualified. But that only counts if you get there. As of tonight, I think I'm starting to think that Obama is unstoppable as it relates to his message and presence. I find myself excited, because it's been so long since there's been a candidate that motivated people like he does; that inspires people like he does; that sounds so fresh; that speaks so well. How can you not be excited for our party?

I dunno. Just typing random thoughts really. But all I know is that after watching the Hillary speech, I was inspired but it seemed somewhat 'politically typical', even if strong. But Obama was different. Nothing typical about him. He just MAKES you want to like him and support him, and I find it hard not to.

So that's all I'm gonna say for now.

No longer knowing who he wants to win,

OMC
