4. We had a big discussion about doing this sort of thing at a meeting the other night.
The two sides were: Smile and say something generally positive and get away from "the debaters" (the old "we're not out here to convince those who don't agree with us but simply to find those who do school of thought) and the other side is: since WE are the ones that are supposed to take the responsibilities for what happens on, we should be prepared with point-and-counter-point and try to persuade Republicans that there IS a better way.

I came down somewhere in the middle, depending upon your situation, you're either going to schmooze on by them or you're going to engage them in a reasonable discussion of policies and stuff, SO . . . where am I headed with all of this?

Congratulations! for being part of The Revolution in Personal Responsibility and I know for certain that THIS Revolution is MUCH more about YOU, what you do and HOW you do it, than it is about "them". Sometimes, when you "lose", you Win by freeing yourself from what everyone else is still bound to.
