Nassau County Dem. Party wants to nominate a repub for DA over good Dems.

This is rumor and word on the street. The word is that Jay Jacobs (chairman) and the Nassau County Democratic Party want to endorse 8 time incumbent Republican Denis Dillon over any dems. Denis Dillon is a former Dem that switched parties because the Dems decided to add "abortion is a womans God given right" to the local platform. He switched in 1988. Dillon has ignored problems at abortion clinics with protesters and also molestation charges in the Rockville Centre Catholic church. Dillon is from RVC.

The only Dem candidate that is all in is Cindy Kouril. www.ck4da.com

She is a very good, solid, progressive, pro-choice Dem and a tough prosecutor. She will be a terrific candidate. I believe that party would have to try to push Dillon through the NCDC convention on June 1st. That will create a revolt and a major floor fight leading to either no party designation or some real ugly shit.

Something is up here. Why would the NCDC sell out a race they can win to the pukes? What does Dillon have on Suozzi, Jacobs or anyone else? What are the Republicans giving in exchange? I have to wonder.
