1. I don't mind being ACORN - Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now
They have been much maligned - simply because they have been effective in organizing in the communities of poor people. The Republicans hate poor people - so they hate ACORN and play up all this negative voter registration fraud hype. 99% of the voter fraud registration is total bullshit too. But when has the truth ever stopped them from spewing their version of "the truth". The "birther" movement is the same kind of crap.

Is that event on the Obama site a real event? I don't see it on the Travis County Democratic Party site so I'm just wondering. Normally if you have an event at the Capitol you have to reserve the South Steps of the Capitol. If they really want to get a bunch of people out in Austin, the TCDP needs to know about the event too.
