Let's Discuss "Sammy's House" by Kristin Gore (warning: spoiler included)

For thhose who have finished reading "Sammy's House" by Kristin Gore, what are your thoughts?

I just finished it last night, and tremendously enjoyed the book. I thought it was a great follow-up to "Sammy's Hill."

Kristin Gore is a terrific writer, and I often found myself laughing out loud at many of the passages in the book.

My only disappointment, is with the ending of the book. I felt like with the way she ended the book, it left several questions (for me, at least). Of course, towards the end of the book, President Wye resigns, and obviously R.G. becomes President. He then offers Sammy the position of Deputy Chief of Staff; one that she is not certain she will take him up on.

And Charlie proposes to her.

I was disappointed that the book ended that way, because I would have liked to known 1) did she eventually accept R.G.'s offer as his Deputy Chief of Staff and 2) did she and Charlie actually make it down the aisle?

I definitely would have liked to seen one more chapter in the book, which would have answered these questions.

Thoughts anyone?
