7. Only the principal can authorize paddling. Parents have the right
to refuse this punishment but it seems harmful to me that all
the students are more than a little painfully aware that a
trip to the principals office could mean a whipping therefore
just suggesting this trip is filled with fear for most
students especially those who have already been the recipient
of the wooden instrument.
Yes, depending on how it's classified, a first warning
for a disruption of any kind may result in this punishment.
I have a had a talk with the principal in which I stated
that according to my wishes and personal standard, she is
never to be alone in a room with any of my children since I do
not allow my children to be in the presence of violent
persons.
She commented that I must think that she just goes around
paddling children all the time. I told her that if a person
was able to commit this act even one time, on one occasion,
they were not fit to be around my children. Period!!! It
looks like now I am going to have to take this incident to the
superintendents office and write a letter to the editor
exposing their use of fear to control children. Problem is,
no one really cares around here. I guess it makes them feel
big and important to scare little children. This place is
disgusting.

The school is Timbo Elementary in Timbo, Arkansas for those
who want to know.
