1. Tomatoes have a way of settling during canning.
They contain so much liquid. I have canned them for years and this always happens to mine. If you have followed the instructions , as it sounds you have, I would not worry about them. I have never had any go bad. Although the last 3 years or so, I have tried freezing some, as I use them up fairly quickly. works out fine.As long as your jars seal, they are ok. Good luck and enjoy.
