Most web design firms simply have a run of the mill "Business Liability Policy". My business is insured through Nationwide, and for my ~$1300 a year they cover me for everything from lawsuits due to late sites, to defamation and libel, to programming errors that cause physical damage or profit loss to clients. I've never had a claim against me, but it's nice to be covered if I do.

As for getting legal advice from an insurance company, I'd strongly advise against it. Their only concern is going to be in limiting the liability of the insurance company, even if doing so means offering you bad legal advice. Spring for your own lawyer, and look for one with technology experience.
