258. Reading about the contrast between other broadcasters and Keith upthread,
I am thinking: what if in the future he becomes more prominent primariily because people believe they can TRUST him, unlike everybody else on the tube? Sort of like Walter Cronkite in a way. He's got some gray hair now, but he still looks more like a sportscaster. Maybe he will be allowed to grow in stature this way because he has something people are so hungry for: honesty and visible genuiineness combined with balance and humor.

There is so much despair and anger. So I hope the utter contrast between when Keith is in front of the camera and when anyone else is up there in the same place is grasped by some people who make decisions about such things.

Keith never fails to ... well, in THIS crowd I'd better NOT say "rise to the occasion"...
