I want to know. Has my "government" been spying on me? [View All]

What do you have to do to file a FOIA request. I want one, I want one for my husband and for any organization I have been affiliated with in the last 3 years. I think any of us that have been active in any way in the last three years in any way needs to request this information.

By active I mean something as simple as having friends or relatives that live in a foreign land that you have had e-mail or phone contact with in the last 3 YEARS! Think about it. Take it out three degrees. Because you talked with someone in Brazil they (the gov't, NSA) are now tracking every call and e-mail you make, even to Mom for her birthday. Do you think for a minute this information will wake up Mom. Nope.

Someone here at DU help me out. I truly believe this is something each and every one of us need to do right now. Call and make the request, start at the absolute bottom of the tree and follow through all day.

I think we need to take up Al's call to the "telecommunication" companies. "CEASE & DESIST, right NOW!" I'm calling them first and firing them today if they don't. I don't want the internet or my phone or my television. Get it out of my house today. Think of what could happen today if we all did this. I am, will you?
