I really believe they feel they can fix it no matter what it is and really deep down don't think Global Warming will be any real problem, only opportunity. They live in a fantasy land where they are all supermen. That is why Iraq is such a debacle. They truly thought they were invincible and that the Iraqi people would shake with fear and do anything the US told them to. They are baffled at how badly things are going but the money is still pouring in so they "Stay the Course"..In fact they want to expand things a bit so even more money will be forthcomeing before they get their asses thrown out of government.
