'Is' comes from 'to be', the most irregular verb in English, but it's also one of the most used and so conjugating it correctly should be second nature to a native English speaker. There's simply no excuse for an Ivy League graduate to misuse it the way Dimson does -- other than that he's a TOTAL MORON. Which also explains every other fucked up thing he says and does.
