19. I just got off the phone with Arlen Specter's office and asked if he would
go along with this.

I was told Specter hadn't made a statement yet. I said if he supported this I think he should resign since he would be abrogating his responsibility to the Constitution. I said what was the sense of even having the legislative branch of government if they choose to ignore their responsibility to provide checks and balances to what is an appallingly out of control and corrupt executive branch.

I've just had it. If people think we still have democracy in this country they are delusional.
