I'm not going to vote in a poll that asks me not to comment. Sorry.

Moreover, I think I'm going to be ornary and leave a comment, too, that being this:

The prospect of allowing the creeps in Congress to touch anything at all at this point is scary.

The prospect of allowing the creeps in the telcos unbridled and deregulated "free market" is also scary.

My suggestion to people would be that getting wrapped up in this issue is not worth your time. You are going to get screwed either way. View it just like electricty, water, and oil: the corporations want to monopolize it and use it to enslave you, and the government is just going to screw up if and when they try to do anything about it -- if they don't play into one corporation's hands they will play into another's, short of nationalizing it, and given the current administration's inability to hire anyone who knows how to remove their ass from their head, that too would be a disaster.

There are much more important things to be spending your time on.
