1. Traditional 'values' have changed since the 60s,George.
Thank goodness. It is no longer sinfull to cohabit without benefit of marriage. Single young girls are not shunned for having babies. It is no longer sinfull to have close friends (or lovers) of different ethnic or religious backgrounds. It is no longer legal to deny women benefits that were exclusive to men in the workplace (well, in most cases). Not sure what George Bush means by "traditional values" but it's difficult to believe he might be referring to pre 60s societal mores. If he is referring to the Biblical ten commandments, like those preachers that say one thing and do another, he is treading in deep water (or mud).
