I've been turned off of rappers since last spring when the Oscar for best song went to "It's Hard out there for Pimps." After hearing the lyrics about how tough Pimps have it and watching millionaires and billionaires applaud the song, I just couldn't take it.

Knowing how naive teenagers and desperate adult women are cheated out of their safety, dignity and hope by brutal men, I couldn't understand the glorification of those same cruel, seductive men. These men keep women trapped in nightmarish existences and turn them into chattel. No, It isn't hard out there for Pimps, It's hard out there on the girls who work for them.

Nice to know not everyone glorifies turning women into chattel.
