Those are all yours. You're acting like so many here are doing nothing and snubbing your noses at them. You say 'put up or shut up', as if this minuscule request to not shop today is equal to that. You say GD is BS and is ignoring the war, as if you don't partake in the BS or are putting some super stellar effort yourself into stopping it, though merely asking a few people to not shop today from the comfort of your computer doesn't equate to that. You say you challenge DU to do something, with some seeming sense of urgency and importance, yet all you came up with as 'DOING SOMETHING' was a quick ineffective request to not shop today and then calling it a day as if that was enough to answer the challenge and put up or shut up. You call out other DU'ers by implying they are issuing nothing more than macho energy and gutless trashtalk, while acting like this simple zero impact request of Buy nothing day is enough to consider yourself not part of it.

Sorry, but this thread wreaks of condescension and false clarion calls. I haven't twisted a thing. It's all here. They're your words, and yours alone.

Had you just posted a simple premise and request of asking others to not buy anything today because even if it is a small act at least it's something, I would've thought it to be fine. But instead you posted it under a title that offended several, while repeatedly throughout the thread referencing animosity towards other DU'ers while acting superior to them. You even said GD is BS and that we ignore the war. But I have news for you: A simple no-effort-required request to not buy anything today is not a call to arms, is not a challenge, and does not an anti-war hero make. If you want to challenge DU, if you want to call out others as doing nothing more than gutless trashtalk, if you want put down GD as ignoring the war, if you are going to shout out to everybody that it's time to "Put up or shut up", then I'd think it reasonable to ask that you come up with something that requires a little bit more effort on your part. I don't think I'm wrong to read into this thread this way or to recognize hypocrisy within it.
