He was closing on his new estate in MD, the one that's near Rummy's place. I think it's because he anticipates he will have to resign, so he wants a palace for his exile. Anyway that's what he was doing that week, and he was in Wyoming the whole time, I think. I'm pretty sure he did not return to DC in time for the WH photo-op on Thursday.

Condi, of course, was shopping for shoes on Fifth Avenue and attending Broadway shows. This on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, IIRC.

KKKarl! Karl made a surprise visit to the Freepers' camp at Crawford, to thank them for their service. This on I think Wednesday of that week. I have it bookmarked somewhere, will dig it up. Bradblog had it, with pictures. And then of course he got kidney stones and was not available to manage the Bush photo-ops in the immediaet aftermath, which left bush in a great deal of political trouble when the public was not convinced. That would be the time of "heckuva job brownie."

Rummy was in San Diego on Monday going to a baseball game, and he attended the speech on the Navy Ship the next day. I have fabulous pictures of that event. Very majestic. Bush truly does believe he's King and treats himself accordingly.
