1) WASHINGTON POST reports: The last 100 troops will be exiting Iraq leaving behind only am embassy guard and Iraqis in complete control of their country.
2) John Edwards presides over the Senate on final vote for passage of a balanced budget amendment (in view of the Bush deficit being wiped out in January).
3) Gas prices reached a new low of 96 cents a gallon as the Kennedy-Grassley partnership deal with Venezuela is finalized.
4) President Kerry is expected to sign an executive order finally ending "Dont Ask Dont Tell" as Tennessee became the 25th state to establish same-sex marriage rights.
5) Vice-president Edwards is expected to announce his candidacy for President in 2008 during his interview with Phil Donahue on Fox's "Donahue Reports" tonight.
6) Secretary of State Tom Daschle will give a major speech at the UN outlining the nuclear truce agreement with Iran and North Korea.
7) Secretary of Defense Wes Clark will formally begin dismantling the NSA.
8) Attorney General Hillary Clinton will send her final draft for universal health care to the Senate. It is expected to pass wth huge republican support.
9) Helen Thomas will be the principal speaker at the National Journalists' Convention in Orlando. Her topic: "Finally, a free press!"

1) I suspect we'd still have about 100,000 troops there at this time, and DU would start losing patience with him.
2) An amendment would not balance the budget, and the hole Bush has us in will take 5 years minimum.
3) That's way too optimistic. I'd settle for $1.50, though.
4) He may have signed the executive order, but Tennessee for same sex marriage? Not yet.
5) Why would Edwards do that with Kerry up for reelection in 2008?
6) Possibly.
7) No way.
8) Hillary doesn't want the AG's job, and the AG does not send health care legislation to the Hill.
9) Plausible
10) Maybe, but I could see those pinheads in Congress watering such a plan down to nothing.
11) Not plausible.
12) Realistic. I could see that happening.
13) Possibly.
