Charles were once The Enemy, weren't they?

Are they yet The Enemy, seen through the lens of time and distance? Did they fight for essentially what we do now, to save our beloved country from those who would take it from us?

You and I, we're old and wise enough, are we not, to understand that those we call The Enemy are, at the last, just human, as we are?
