I did not defend a Dem President. My (usually very Democratic) sister and I were having lunch. As we did, we got talking about politics. She mentioned a MI GOP guv candidate, who claims he is a "nerd," and that is why he should be elected - she was thinking of voting for him. I was surprised, but only mentioned he was a Repuke.

Then, she mentioned an email she got about Obama: that he had canceled the National Day of Prayer, but went to a Muslim function. Normally, I would have engaged in a discussion with her about how this info is misleading. But, you know, I worked hard in '08 from Obama - and believed he would do some of the things he promised. As a result, I feel played by him, since I look like a fool for telling others to support the guy (our Republican majority county voted for him, perhaps in part because of my letters to the editor, etc).

So - I said nothing. I told her instead that I found it hard to support this guy anymore. Time after time, I have been told that I just needed to wait and see, give him time etc. Read my blog if you wanna know what my predictions and reactions have been.

Carl Levin, one of my Dem US Senators, just came out for MORE cruise missile strikes (aka mass murders) in Pakistan.

Debbie Stabenow, my other Dem US Senator, supported the bankruptcy bill a few years ago, which has added to the pain of this Depression. My emails to her drew only a form letter, not really responsive to my concerns.

I hope there is a primary challenge to each and every one of these 3. I am a lefty liberal, always a Dem. But I wont support Big Business, mass murder, and dumping on the poor.

Obama is losing his base fast - and spreading it down to the state and local level. I wonder why? Yeah, I really wonder why?
