Is there even a point to school counselors if this is the bullshit they're going to try to pull?

How could anyone trained in dealing with the young teenage mind think a 13 year old would take an empty "contract" like that seriously? "Sign this paper" is not even close to being the correct way to approach a suicidal person. If anything, it's worse, it makes them feel untrusted and above all, unimportant. They don't deserve individual attention or effort, they just deserve 2 minutes to sign a piece of paper and then they're on their way. It is an insult.
Bureaucracy at its absolute worst.
