3. Damn! This is so obvious that...
I don't know why it hasn't caught on.

Again, for years I've been saying that counting votes and sending them in is trivial programming and no one should have proprietary code.

I'm not a real programmer, but I managed to hack up about five pages of QuickBasic code to create a restaurant cash register program years ago. And, I had it phone home.

So, how is counting cheeseburgers all that much different than counting votes, and why does it take a full CD of executables, dlls, and registry changes to count them?

Aside from the value added turning a $300 terminal into a $5,000 voting machine, not much difference at all.
