Two Sixty Minutes segments - one good, one bad

First, the Pentagon's new Ray Gun. The story was a soapy crock of bull. The Ray Gun shoots"rays" at people that hurt and stop them in their tracks but does not kill them. Thye tout it for war but it looks like it is for domestic crowd control to me. No more peace protests for you - off the property!

Then there was a good piece on Remote Area Medical - a group that sets up a free clinic in an area for a weekend and provides dental and medical care for the working poor. Formerly a venture restricted to the third world, it now comes to the US because so many people are uninsured. One weekend it served almost 1,000 people and had to turn 400 away. Health care is a human right - in Europe, Cuba and most other civilized countries, everyone receives health care. Watch it. It is enough to make you want to kill the evil people who run this country.
