74. Hope and joy in dark days

That's the theme of each of the mid winter holidays that I know about. I think its wonderful that we have feasts, gift giving and celebrations to mark our connectedness at the time of year where -- in the northern hemisphere anyway, our spirits are low and everything seems on the downswing.

If my politics ever made me cease finding joy in life, then my politics would be warped and not life sustaining.
