37. Quite. I think it's one of those 50/50 situations
As people have pointed out, large crowds need managing - eg setting up aisles and corners to slow people down, security personnel around to let people know what is going on and to be patient, etc. Walmart can afford those measures and should have had the experience to implement them. On the other hand, special sales are very common in the US (every thanksgiving, iPhone launch, store opening, you name it) and they don't usually turn into a free-for-all.
