11. Monsanto isn't alone
Monsanto seems to be the company everyone points their hatred toward on this site. There are plenty of other players.
In the above example MON810 is a Monsanto gene....NK603 is Northrup King which is owned by Syngenta a massive UK Ag. company.
Bayer a massive Ag. company from Germany is ramping up production of an alternative to Round-up technology in soybeans....it will be massively used in 2010 and after. They plan on capitalizing on the growing hatred of Monsanto by farmers.....but it's still a GMO.

There is going to be an unbelievable amount of new GMO technology unleashed in the next few years.

Monsanto is about to release a new one for corn also. It's called drought resistant corn. Now I asked a person in the know why they would do something so stupid in the corn belt. The only droughts I have been in were 1983 and 1988. The last droughts here before that were 1932 and 1934. My question was why would a farmer pay extra for seed when the odds of drought were so low. He laughed at me and said....this isn't for the corn belt.....this is so corn can be grown in area where it's never been grown before. Wrap your head around that one.

If this above article is true....we need to nip this in the bud now!!
