While President Obama was being sworn in...10% of Cheap Channel's staff was let go and more cuts are on the way. It's hard to know the exact financial health of the company as they went private when Bain Capital (a division of the Carlyle Group) bought them last year, but they've been tight on the spending since they took over.

IRC, CC already has a share in the company, but they'd need government authorization to purchase what's left of XM-Sirius outright. I foresee them just being another outlet for Kiss and Rushbo and Jack FM...commercials and all. Hell, you get commercials on cable and you pay for that, don't you? Again, this is the mindset that drove this company into the mess its in in the first place.
