40. How does a K9 officer "forget" that his K9 is in the car?
I mean, isn't a K9 policeperson supposedly "trained"? When I drove a taxi, the police told us which portions of freeway through the city had a 65 speed limit, and which had a 55 speed limit. They did that specifically so that we couldn't later claim that "I didn't realize the speed limit was only 55 there". Yet somehow it is ok for a so-called trained professional K9 officer to not know where his K9 is for long enough to kill the dog????
And why wasn't the window down? All the windows down? Or the engine running and the AC on?

Why is police incompetence ok, but civilian incompetence (in the case of something similar happening to a civilian) not ok?
