Want to know why idiots can organize and We the People can't?

Look at your television screens.

Listen to your radio.

Look at your newspapers and magazines and books -- those who read them.

They are filled with lies and junk and propaganda.

China Central TV Headquarters

Members of the government, by law, aren't allowed to engage in communication subterfuge. They can talk to the People, as long as it's clear who is saying what, but they aren't allowed to lie or disguise the message in a way that makes it seem to be coming from another source. That's why reports of the Army posing officers as CNN interns and the Generals on Fox talking up a war is so disturbing. Propaganda is illegal -- that's supposed to be illegal for the government to purvey.

And that explains why Mr. Rush "Dominican Viagra" Limbaugh gets away with his lies and Rupert Murdoch and Sun Myung Moon and the rest of the rabid right are willing to spend so much to propagate that fascist ideology. It has been broadcast 24/7 pretty much without interruption since the Fairness Doctrine got the legislative ziggy, courtesy of Mr. Reagan and Co.

So the rabid Right is able to mount a pretty effective propaganda campaign -- seemingly independent of the GOP -- that helps swiftboat Sen. Kerry, sink Universal Health Care, and prevent President Obama from addressing the nation's school kids.

What's worse:

Most of what you see and hear broadcast is controlled by a handful of corporations.

Most of what you read -- those who read -- is largely controlled by a handful of corporations.

Corporations are controlled largely by a handful of the very wealthiest class of people.

Do you think they side with the middle classes and poor?

What's worst: The CIA and the rest of the nation's Secret Government answers to Them.
