6. My husband just came back from the drug store (in FL)
where he had to have a Rx filled. He has a cut on his leg that became infected and the dermatologist prescribed an antibiotic. He came home with 7 pills and the cost without insurance was $119!!! We are fortunate in that we have Rx insurance ($250 deductible and then 20%). Of course the coverage isn't cheap and going up every year, but we are much luckier than all the people with no coverage. I was ranting just now about all those senators who voted against the drug re importation amendment. My heart goes out to the millions of Americans who have no health or Rx insurance. The Senate has to stop their dithering and get down to the people's business. They need to stop being so selfish and get on with the business they were sent to Washington to do. I don't know when I have ever seen such juvenile behavior by supposedly intelligent people. I can count on only one hand the number of senators I have any respect for. (and, no, Lieberman isn't one of them.)
