10. RE: time to resurrect the National Women's Party?
Resurrect the NWP? Absolutely not - unless you can get someone into that organization with a modicum of leadership skills. The past several presidents have been dreadful and ruined an organization that should have been easy to "resurrect." The place is notorious for running off women with political talent, and the level of infighting that has gone on there should embarrass them (but doesn't). That group is as woman-hating as they come (wolves in sheep's' clothing) and utterly dysfunctional. The board distances itself from "feminists" or even using the term in their mission statement. Paul and Burns would be ashamed to have their names associated with that group! They want your money, and will plead poverty at every corner, but then they squander it on senseless projects. They've burned major donors and are the exact opposite of the ideals that Paul and Burns stood for. The revolution needs to begin with taking back that organization and making it truly "democratic." Only then will we see progress in the truest sense of the word. Equal Rights for women? Only if you have money, connections or are willing to compromise everything you ever believed as a feminist! Better yet, start over and form another party for the solution to what ails us!
