You can't just say all these classes exist because of course they do!

You're not being very precise. You're saying people are largely comfy in spite of declining or stagnant wages, soaring education costs, little security in the workplace, etc? If so, again, what are meaning when we say folks are "comfy"?

Perhaps Joe Lunch Pail is better off in many ways. He can eat and surf the web and watch all kinds of channels. But does this change the underlying exploitation? Does this change the fact that wealth has only been moving upward? And, further, how does his supposed comfy lifestyle depend on brutalities inflicted on working people in China, India, Central America, and Africa?
