33. I'm very sorry for the loss of your kitty, but did the vets suggest to you
putting him on sub-cutaneous fluids a couple times a week at home? This therapy extended both the life expectancy and more importantly *quality of life* for my cats who all lived comfortably into their 20s. My current kitty aged 18 and small dog aged 13 receive fluids twice weekly and it greatly increases their appetites and mobility and alertness.

Too late for poor Tigger, but you might ask about this treatment for a future aged pet. Chronic renal insufficiency is not curable but it need not be a death sentence either
