36. It's been that way for a long time
On any fine you get here. Hell back in the early 80's in Colorado a Judge ordered me to pay a fifty dollar fine and after all the extras and add-ins the total fine I paid was $185.00. So it's nothing new.

No texting and hands free here in California. I have no problems with that. And just so you know the second and third offense fines grow exponentially larger. I think around $150.00 or $200.00 for the second. Imagine the total of that fine after all the extras are tacked on. Yikes.
