81. No, I already live in gun country
Have for close to 50 years now.

We have our differences, but people generally don't bring their guns to the town square here.

The SO and I debated this one evening early on. He self-identifies as conservative. That's a whole other post. LOL. The point is he was basically arguing for concealed carry. That such a community would be "safer," his words if a good majority or good sized minority of folks CC'd. My point was that if I learned that a significant portion of the people I rub elbows with casually on a daily basis were CC'ing, *I* would be the uncomfortable one. So much so, that I would want to move somewhere with people who were less paranoid.

IOW, the rural people and farmers that I know who do target practice and subsistance hunting, I feel completely comfortable with. Others who may enjoy carrying guns out to the grocery store, or the ball game or the pizza joint. I'd feel very much less comfortable with. For now there are more of the former here, rather than the latter. I hope it remains so.
