probably want to read) just because the OP made an error in the title. As you said, he/she might have a life beyond DU, so he/she might not have seen the corrections right away. But that also means that yor unrec would have had no immediate impact on the title, either. You seemed to be saying that if you hadn't unrecced, the poster would not have been sufficiently pressured to fix his/her error, but my guess is that if he/she was there to see that he/she had made a mistake, he/she would have fixed it immediately, without the slap of an unrec.

Also, it isn't his/her fault that DU has such an oddly limited editing window so that if he/she doesn't catch the mistake fast enough, correcting it is not an option any longer.

I know from personal experience that it is all too easy to post something in a bit of a hurry and then neglect to proof it carefully enough, only to realize too late that I have committed an emarrassing typo that I can no longer fix.
