3. It's completely logical if the State Department wants to prop up the coupsters.
If the U.S. government didn't approve of the coup, the dissaproval would be clearly expressed and backed up by action such as freezing the coupster's assets and recalling our ambassador.

As it is, all we've gotten from the Obama administration are some weasel words about "democracy" and "constitutional order", along with the absurd and insulting proposal that Zelaya should negotiate with the criminals that deposed him.

The State Department's position is the same as it always is and always has been -- support the Oligarchs.
