It sounds very similar to the way the Colombian right-wing death squads have treated some of their victims.

Numerous witnesses have testified that the victims there were threatened either on cell phones, or their unlisted land lines. This was devastating to them when they had always believed no one could reach them without getting the numbers from them.

Lucky for him, I guess, they lost their chance to keep him living in fear when they murdered him, but what they have done to this young man will serve to terrorize everyone who knew him, or who has heard of what they did to him.

That's the value to true right-wing monsters of terrorism: it is good for scaring many other people badly, with the goal of finally getting them all paralyzed with fear, and silenced through their hopelessness.
