In theory, it could be used to impeach him ... if you're dreaming and hoping ... (not YOU, speaking in general.)

But most non-talking heads agree ... those with legal expertise on the matter .... that it's much ado about nothing.

Plus the fact that the time line doesn't work and, even if he had been nominated for that reason, Congress would still have had to approve him. Given how many of the President's nominees are being filibustered, it would have been far from a guaranteed job.
