We elected Obama; we should be able to hold him accountable, especially as we watch nearly a century of social progress (that came at the cost of a lot of blood and lives) go swirling slowly down the drain with virtually no comment from our Commander in Chief, who, strangely enough, was labor's best friend during the campaign.

Throwing out "Palin/Bachmann" as a threat is just the same as telling a kid the monster in his closet will get him if he doesn't behave. That may work for 10 minutes or so, but the kid eventually sees through it for the empty words that it is.
